U.S. News and World Report again named Regina Health Center among the best nursing homes in the country with its highest overall rating of five stars. Regina Health Center also received the highest five-star rating for quality measures.
To compile its “Best Nursing Homes” ratings, U.S. News collected meaningful data and ratings about nearly 16,000 nursing facilities. The data was then compiled into a searchable online database that includes information about safety, health inspections, staffing and more. The “Best Nursing Homes” overall report is available at health.usnews.com/best-nursing-homes.
Each nursing home receives an overall rating of one to five stars, based on its number of stars in three categories: state-conducted health inspections, how much time nurses spend with residents and the quality of medical care. The data foundation for Best Nursing Homes 2014 came from the federal Centers for Medicare& Medicaid Services in January 2014. Fewer than 4,000 nursing homes across the country earned an overall rating of five stars.
Regina Health Center is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System.
