Regina Health Center Scores Well on Survey Results
Ohio Department of Health: Enforcement Surveys of Nursing Home Regulations:
In the last four annual surveys by the Ohio Department of Health, Regina Health Center has had an average Compliance Rate of 98.2% with federal and state regulations. RHC had a perfect survey in January, 2006. RHC is extremely proud of the excellent survey results we have had over the years.
Ohio Department of Aging: Resident and Family Satisfaction Surveys:
In 2006, the Ohio Department of Aging directly surveyed the Family Members of residents of nursing homes in Ohio. In response to the two key questions demonstrating quality: “1) Would you recommend this facility to a family member or friends?, and 2) Overall, do you like this facility?”, RHC scored a 100% and 99.2% respectively. In this survey, RHC ranked 52nd out of approximately 1,000 nursing homes in the State of Ohio. The response rate of our families was 77%, which is 27% higher than the statewide average of 50%.
In the most recent Resident Satisfaction Survey conducted by the Ohio Department of Aging, RHC scored a 100% and 98.5% respectively on the two main questions to residents: 1) Would you recommend this facility to a family member or friend?, and 2) Overall, do you like this facility?”.
Ohio Department of Job and Family Services: Quality Incentive Payment for Nursing Homes:
The State of Ohio has implemented a Quality Incentive Payment for Medicaid certified facilities that exceed statewide averages in up to eight different quality related categories. Regina Health Center exceeded the criteria and therefore achieved four of these categories in 2006:
- Number of direct care hours our facility employs nurses
- Employee retention rate
- Facility occupancy rate
- Facility Medicaid utilization rate
Achieving these Quality Incentive Payment categories provides significant additional Medicaid reimbursement which is then used to improve quality of care and quality of life for our residents.
