Blessing the Community She Served: Jean Metzger Leaves $925,000 Estate Gift

The late Jean Metzger served as assistant administrator at Regina Health Center (RHC) for 12 years, focusing her profession – and heart – on the residents she loved so dearly. After passing away in 2023, RHC learned that Jean’s legacy would go beyond the lessons she taught those who followed in her footsteps: She included a gift to RHC in her will, amounting to more than $925,000. To learn about Jean, her impact and how you can support RHC both now and in the future, you can read the full story below. This also appears in RHC’s summer issue of The Heart newsletter.

Prayer

God of all blessings, we thank you for the communities to which we belong: for families, for friends, for neighbors and for companions at work. We thank you for the strangers who welcome us into their lives and whom we invite to be part of ours. We thank you for our brothers and sisters of all ages, all races, all nations and all faiths. We thank you for the multitude of ways that you call us to steward the gifts of creation and to serve others in your name. God of all goodness, we pray in thanks for your presence among us, and your promise to be with us now and always. Amen.
