Dear Regina Health Center Community,
I am writing to keep you updated regarding the coronavirus pandemic. As you heard from the communication sent out on October 15, 2021, we were disappointed to report that we had an additional positive COVID case among our employees last week. Due to the confirmed positive COVID test all residents and all employees were tested this week, per CMS and CDC guidance. I am pleased to report that all test results are complete and have been sent to the lab and we are currently awaiting results. Per CMS and CDC guidance, we must complete a second week of testing of all residents and staff this upcoming week however, once we receive all the results of this week’s testing we will provide you with further communication regarding the results and visitation. At this time, no residents are suspicious for coronavirus, thanks be to God. We are not yet implementing any other precautions, such as in-room quarantine or suspension of Mass or Activities. We hope and pray that this is an isolated incident and that such measures will not be necessary. Thank you for your continued understanding and patience as we strive to find ways to enable resident privileges while maintain safety and wellness.
