Communication Update November 9, 2021 Guest Visitation

November 9, 2021

Dear Regina Health Center Community,

I am writing to provide an update involving the coronavirus pandemic. Unfortunately, we have identified a positive case of COVID among our direct care staff. The staff member only worked in the 2B & 2C areas of the building. Please pray for a quick and complete recovery of the affected individual. As required by CMS and CDC guidance, we are completing testing of all residents and staff this week in the appropriate, targeted areas of 2B & 2C. Residents on these units are not permitted to leave the unit, except for medical appointments. Unfortunately, this also means that we are required to postpone visitation for 2B & 2C areas of the building while we complete testing. 1C, 2A and Assisted Living residents may continue to have visitors at this time.
We will complete testing of all targeted residents and staff this week. If negative test results are received after this week’s testing, we will again open visitation to all areas of the building the week of November 15th, 2021. At this time, no residents are suspicious for coronavirus, thanks be to God. We are not yet implementing any other precautions, such as in-room quarantine or suspension of Mass or Activities. We hope and pray that this is an isolated incident and that such measures will not be necessary. Thank you for your continued understanding and patience as we strive to find ways to enable resident privileges while maintaining safety and wellness. May you and those you love remain healthy, and may God continue to bless us all.

Sincerely, Deacon Mark Yantek, LNHA Executive Director
