Regina Health Center Earns Highest 5-Star Rating from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services

Regina Health Center has once again earned the highest rating in the federal Five-Star Quality Rating System of nursing homes from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The five-star level signifies “much above average” quality and is the highest rating a nursing home can achieve. Regina Health Center also received a five-star rating in health inspections.

The CMS rating system helps consumers, their families and caregivers compare nursing homes by assessing three key areas related to quality of care for nursing home residents—health inspections, quality measures and staffing levels.

Regina Health Center, located in Richfield, Ohio, offers 99 nursing beds, specialized dementia care and rehabilitation. It is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System.

The 5-star rating is not just a number; it represents a commitment to providing “much above average” compassionate, dedicated care. For families in Richfield and the many surrounding counties, this means peace of mind knowing that their loved ones are in a nursing facility that consistently meets high standards in:

  • Comprehensive Staffing: Ensuring adequate, qualified staff to manage resident needs.
  • Health Inspections: Passing rigorous evaluations regarding sanitation, safety and quality of life.
  • Quality Measures: Demonstrating excellent outcomes in rehabilitation, pain management, and specialized care.

Regina Health Center provides a range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of its residents, including specialized dementia care, 54 assisted living units, and both short-term inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. Choosing a 5-star rated nursing home ensures a safe and nurturing environment.

“I’m proud to work alongside such talented and hard-working professionals, who provide the highest quality physical, mental and spiritual care for our residents,” said Deacon Mark Yantek, Regina Health Center executive director. “A five-star rating for overall quality places Regina Health Center in the top tier of nursing homes around the country and demonstrates our exceptional quality of care.”
